The Storm is coming!
Looks like another wet weekend on the way, just like the rain in this shot behind Horsehead Rock. I had been much further down the beach when I saw this cloud forming and I had to capture it. So I found myself running up the beach to set up, I made it just in time as within a minute after I had taken the shot, the shape of the cloud had changed drastically and rain had started to fall. Within 5 minutes we were getting soaked, but well worth it.

This place has so many facets and it has become one of my favourite places that I go back to over and over again. It's not only the rock, the peace of the area, sharing time with my wife there, it's the journey there and back that makes the place special.

Look Up!

Canberra turned on a beauty last night. I've been here multiple times only for the weather to not be friendly to me. But last night it ended up being amazing.

The funny thing is, this was not my site of choice last night, I had planned for another site but when I got there I found it wasn't going to work as I had pictured it so I headed off to this one only to find the road was closed from the Monaro side. So back off up the Monaro I headed via another site check at Burra, which I'll hope to get back to later in the week, I got back here just after the sun set and was able to watch the Milky Way show. It's funny how things work out sometimes.
