2019 – A Year Before Lockdown

Paul Kerr
Over the years I had loved taking photographs when I travelled. There had been many shots that did not do justice to what I had been seeing. But in between there were some really special shots and I wanted to know why I could get those. In 2014 I undertook a course through The Photography Institute to learn how to:
* control a camera,
* lighting, and
* create a photo.
My love of music and writing work in that area led to my passion for the Live Music scene. In 2017, I asked the editor of Sentinel Daily to do a Black Stone Cherry gig, which I got as long as it included doing photography of the concert. While the gig was a very steep learning curve to shoot in those fast-changing conditions, I had an absolute blast. From that point onwards I was hooked into live music photography and it has only fuelled my passion.
I work on live gigs, landscape (travel & astro) and portraits. I get to combine two of my passions with live gigs; music and photography. I love getting out and finding places in and around Canberra for landscapes to show what an amazing world we live in. Lately I have been moving into portrait and promotional photography.
Contact me and we can organise to grab a coffee or a drink as I prefer to talk to people about their needs to work out what can be done. Iβll be happy to see what I can do to meet your specific need.
