A calm night on the far South Coast of NSW, where the stars slowly swept across the sky—and Venus stole the show.

That bright, bold streak is Venus glowing over Wallaga Lake, captured across **7 long exposures**. The subtle gaps in the trails are from a **2-second delay** between each 960-second shot.

Exploring the Milky Way in higher detail.

This shot was captured using the original @moveshootmove tracker, a Sigma 35mm ART lens, and my trusty Canon 5D Mark IV.

Using a star tracker like the MSM made all the difference — it allowed me to shoot longer exposures without star trails, revealing the incredible details and fine dust structures across the Milky Way that would otherwise be hidden.

Tracking offers so many benefits:

Longer exposures for sharper stars

Lower ISO settings for cleaner images

More detail in the darker regions of the sky

Greater creative control for blending tracked and untracked shots

I’ve just recently upgraded to the new MSM Nomad along with the Richard Tatti pack — I haven't had the chance to use them yet, but I’m really excited to see how much further I can push my astrophotography with this setup. Can't wait for the next clear night.
