It was an inspiring experience to dive deeper into the art of lighting and see how much of a difference it makes in capturing emotion and detail. I rand my Godox AD600Pro out of charge on the night. Reflecting on this breathtaking summer night at Mount Coree, where the Milky Way’s summer arch gracefully spans the southern sky. While the galactic core hides below the horizon, this shot highlights the stunning constellations of Orion and the Pleiades—icons of the southern hemisphere's celestial summer.

The soft purple glow of airglow and city lights on the horizon adds depth to the scene, while shooting stars streak across the vast canvas of space. Truly a sight to remember!

As we transition into summer in the southern hemisphere, the Milky Way’s galactic core disappears from our night skies for a while. But don’t worry – there’s still plenty of celestial beauty to admire! Here’s a stunning shot from Monument Valley, showcasing the majestic Pleiades constellation and the Milky Way stretching above this iconic landscape. This is very similar to what we will see in our night skies for the next north.

For the next few months, we’ll see star clusters like Pleiades and Orion dominating our skies – a perfect opportunity to refine your stargazing or astrophotography skills!
